Shrimp in Spicy Hot Soup – Tom Yam Gung

Ingredients:

Fresh Shrimp 200 grams, clean/peel/open the back to remove the black line
Mushroom 100 grams, clean, cut in half
Galangal 1 piece, clean and cut in thin slices
Lemongrass 3 sticks, clean/crush/cut
Lime Leave 2-3 pieces, clean/shred
Fresh Chili 5-8 0r up to taste
Lemon juice 1.5 tablespoon
Fish Sauce 1 tablespoon
Thai chili Paste 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Spring onion/Coriander (chop) for garnishing

How to make:

  1. Add the salt into the water and bring to boil, when boiling add, cut lemon grass, galangal, lime leave and mushroom, boiling for a few minutes
  2. Season with fish sauce, thai chili paste, lemon juice, chili until you get the preferred flavor
  3. Add the clean shrimp; let the soup boil with strong flame for 1 minute, then turn off the gas.
  4. Top with the cut spring onion and Coriander on Serving.
