Thai Parsley or Saw Parsley or Stink Weed – ผักชีฝรั่ง, ผักชีป้อม

Scientific name: Eryngium foetidum Linn.
This parsley looks very similar to the western parsley especially when they bloom, but they are a bit tougher; having stronger texture and their aroma is also a bit different from the western parley. We usually have them in small pot for the home consumption. It is easily grown and could stand much pest.

I am found of their particular aroma that I could eat them fresh with assorted vegetables. The Vietnamese also use them widely in their Spring Roll and other dishes. They compliment the dish like Tom Kha or Laab or Bamboo Salad.
